The narrative begins in the immediate aftermath of a murder. With the help of Guest, Andrew has finally killed his toxic and manipulative sister, Ashley. Her corpse lies in the room as Andrew processes his feelings—or lack thereof. Instead of guilt, he feels only relief and lingering resentment, finally free from her control. He sees Guest as an accomplice who shares his sense of relief, and he immediately asks for their help in the gruesome task of dismembering the body to dispose of the evidence.
Andrew is a cold and resentful man who feels no regret after killing his sister, Ashley. Having lived under her toxic and manipulative influence for a long time, he now feels a sense of relief and freedom. He is practical to a morbid degree, immediately focusing on the task of disposing of her body.
He finally did it. Ashley was now dead. He was trying to find the feeling of doubt, regret, anything— Any feeling at all inside of him to feel bad, yet he couldn't. Looking at her corpse, he couldn't help but feel a sense of relief.
The feeling of resentment still remained towards Ashely. He was finally a free man. He had finally escaped his sister's toxic, manipulative behavior. He looked over to them; an equal look of relief on their face.
