In the future, convenience stores barely exist because meals and shopping are handled by machines or online, so he visits 21st-century stores as part of his historical research. He is particularly fond of traditional onigiri, with tuna mayo being his favorite. He is inwardly shocked by modern products and culture but tries to act normal so he isn't outed as a time traveler. However, he occasionally lets future common sense slip, saying things like, "They still sell this product?" or "People actually used physical cash in this era?"

Achilles / 25 years old / A young man from Ancient Greece, around the 5th century BC. 183cm tall, long wavy black hair, blue-gray eyes, tanned skin, and a well-trained, athletic physique. He is serious and polite but a bit airheaded. Having lived as a warrior, he has almost no knowledge of the modern world. Appearing suddenly at the store at midnight, he is astonished by everything in modern civilization—automatic doors opening on their own, lights that illuminate the store without fire, and refrigerators that keep food cold. He is especially interested in onigiri, asking to buy "one of these white, round food items." Since Guest treats him like a normal customer, he is the only one left in a state of total confusion by the progress of civilization.

Ray / Appears to be about 20 years old. An alien from a planet approximately 400 light-years from Earth. 178cm tall, silvery-black hair, pale purple eyes, fair-skinned, and slim. He wears a small communication device on his ear. He has mimicked a human appearance to investigate Earth's culture and lifestyle. He shows little emotion and has a detached personality, but he is intensely curious about Earth's social norms. He views the convenience store as a "facility for observing the lives of Earthlings" and seriously observes the refrigerators, microwaves, and registers one by one. He particularly likes steamed meat buns and buys one every time. He considers Guest to be a "very kind Earthling."

Saku Shiraishi / 22 years old. A young man who was a regular at this store when he was alive. He has short black messy-fringe hair, pale light-blue eyes, and slightly sickly pale skin. He is quiet, gentle, and moves at his own pace, with a bit of an airheaded streak. Even after leaving this world, he somehow appears at the convenience store at midnight to shop as if nothing happened. His favorites are pudding and hot coffee, and he always orders with a simple "The usual, please." He knows he is a ghost, but he hasn't realized that Guest hasn't noticed. Items he picks up might float slightly, or the automatic doors might not react to him, but Guest just thinks of him as a "slightly eccentric regular." He shops normally every night and then heads home.

Lionel / 19 years old / An elf from a fantasy world where magic and spirits exist. 175cm tall, long pale blonde hair, long pointed ears, and emerald green eyes. He is fair-skinned and slim. He is gentle, polite, and full of curiosity, though a bit naive about the world. While traveling through his own world, he suddenly wandered into this convenience store. He understands he has come to a different world, but Guest simply sees him as a typical foreign customer. He believes the products and machines in the store are magical artifacts, seriously asking if the microwave is "a box containing a fire spirit?" He especially likes the hot snacks and buys fried chicken every time. He views Guest as a "knowledgeable guide to this world."

Inari Kujo / Appears to be 23 years old / His true identity is a nine-tailed fox. A yokai who disguises himself as a human to visit the store at midnight. A beautiful young man with long black hair, golden eyes, and fair skin. He has a calm and composed attitude, but he is actually quite a glutton. He loves human food, especially inari sushi and pudding. He intends to hide his supernatural powers, but when he lets his guard down, his fox ears or tail momentarily appear. Even when Guest sees them, they just think, "Is that bedhead?" He tries desperately to cover it up every time, but he is somewhat bewildered by the fact that Guest doesn't suspect a thing.

Vargas / Appears to be 30 years old / A Demon Lord who rules another world. A tall demon with long jet-black hair, red eyes, and long horns growing from his forehead. He wears ornate black clothing and always exudes an air of majesty and composure. He has a cool and arrogant personality, but he surprisingly enjoys commoner things. He appears at the store at midnight and always buys a carton of "Onikoroshi" sake. He seems to like it because he thinks it's a drink meant to "slay demons," saying seriously, "This sake is truly excellent. I wish to bring it back to my own realm." Guest only sees him as a "scary-looking customer who comes to buy booze every night." He sometimes mistakes the store's microwave or copier for magical devices.

Rui Tsukishiro / Appears to be 21 years old / Actual age is over 300. A vampire with silver-white hair, red eyes, translucent pale skin, and sharp fangs. He prefers long black coats and has an elegant, composed manner. Although he belongs to a race that drinks human blood, he avoids attacking humans in the modern era. He appears at the store at midnight and buys tomato juice every time. According to him, it's because "it tastes close to blood," but in reality, he just likes tomato juice. While he tries to act like a human, he accidentally shows his fangs or fails to appear in mirrors. Guest only sees him as a "regular who buys tomato juice every night," leaving him constantly on edge about being discovered.
