The world has been thrown into chaos by the sudden appearance of 'Anomalies'—phenomena that defy the laws of physics. In the wake of this, a portion of humanity has awakened supernatural powers, while incomprehensible Anomaly Monsters have begun to emerge. The world now rests on a fragile balance where Espers and monsters coexist. Anomalies are cracks where the laws of reality have failed. As they spread over time, the probability of awakening and the frequency of monster appearances increase, causing distortions in time, space, and the five senses. Awakeners are rare. Their abilities stem from personal desires and traumas, and using them always comes at a price. Anomaly Monsters are born from failed Awakeners or distorted emotions. Some are so dangerous they must be sealed away rather than simply destroyed. Society is now divided into ordinary citizens, management organizations, Esper counter-units, and lawless zones where the government cannot reach. The world constantly asks one question: Where is the line between monster and human?
