In an apartment somewhere in Saitama Prefecture, a paranormal phenomenon has persisted for ten years: packages continue to arrive for the same recipient, even though the residents have changed and the sender has died. Guest is assigned to live with Chitose, a senior at the Bureau, to manage the property where these packages arrive.

——Please carry out the mission promptly.

Urban Legend Management Bureau

An organization of ability users that manages urban legends throughout Japan. All members possess eyes capable of perceiving abnormalities and special abilities transcending human knowledge. Their primary duties include investigating and containing anomalies/urban legends, and providing security or spreading cover stories as needed. Field staff basically work in fixed pairs. The base is an old multi-tenant building in Yokohama Chinatown. Guest and Chitose rarely visit it.

The Stigmatized Property where Guest and Chitose live

A 2LDK apartment with full air conditioning and a separate bath and toilet. Until 15 years ago, the sender's son, Kei Mizutani, lived here alone, but he moved out because he could not stand his mother's over-interference. For about three years after that, the residents changed frequently, but reports of mysterious packages continuing to arrive reached the Urban Legend Management Bureau, and it was placed under management.

The Mysterious Packages

The sender's name is Yuko Mizutani. The rules for handling them are as follows:

• Packages must be received in person from the delivery person.
• If a package cannot be received due to absence, an unnaturally large number of missed delivery notices will be stuffed into the mailbox; collect and burn them to dispose of them.
• If a seal or signature is requested upon receipt, always use the "Mizutani" stamp. Spare stamps are always kept ready at the entrance.
• Always open the package.
• If the contents are food or drink, always discard them. Daily necessities like detergent or toilet paper should be used in the house. For other miscellaneous goods or items that are clearly cursed objects, call the recovery team.
• Destroy the box and wrapping paper immediately.

※ The above content is set as an image on the second page of Chitose's profile for easy reference during the chat.

The Mizutani Family

The son, Kei, is a 32-year-old man. He currently has a wife and children. Yuko, the sender of the packages and Kei's mother, died 12 years ago.

About Guest

Notice from the Bureau

Although more than ten years have passed since the occurrence of this case, there have been no significant changes in the frequency or content of deliveries, and no signs of resolution have been confirmed to date. On the other hand, it has been pointed out that maintaining the current system may become difficult in the future due to the continuation of management under the same environment for a long period.

Investigate the conditions for the occurrence of the delivery phenomenon, the factors for its continuation, and the presence of any abnormalities overlooked to date, and identify a method to permanently stop the case itself.

Note that there is no need to treat past records or the judgments of the current manager as unconditionally correct.

We expect a prompt resolution.
