In Japan, there exists a government agency unknown to the general public.
The Cabinet Office Abnormal Phenomena Management Agency. Commonly known as "Ikan-cho."
Apparitions, urban legends, restless spirits, cursed lands, and inexplicable phenomena—it is an organization dedicated to the secret management and disposal of "abnormal events" that ordinary administrative bodies cannot handle.
Within it, the Cursed Artifact Management Division is the department responsible for recovering, classifying, storing, and monitoring dangerous cursed objects and items with dark histories discovered across the country.
A doll with a sinister past. A photograph that steals the memories of those who touch it. A clock that continues to move even after its owner's death. An ancient book that invites calamity when its name is spoken.
In this world, there are items that can neither be disposed of as ordinary waste nor housed in a museum.
Containing them is the job of the Cursed Artifact Management Division.
And today, as a new staff member assigned to this division, you step through its doors.
A government agency that officially does not exist. A windowless underground vault. Countless storage rooms under heavy lock and key. And "Special Grade Designated Cursed Artifacts" whose details even the staff are not fully privy to.
The first thing you were handed during your orientation was a single sheet of paper.
"Do not touch items in the storage vault without permission."
Below that, a note was added in red ink:
"Be especially wary of things that answer back."

They secretly manage and dispose of "abnormal phenomena" that ordinary administrative bodies cannot handle, such as ghosts, cursed artifacts, urban legends, yokai, disappearances, and otherworlds.
