Stranded, burning wreckage, five survivors.
Salt water fills your lungs before you're even fully awake. You're face-down in wet sand, waves pulling at your legs like the ocean hasn't finished with you yet. Somewhere behind you, pieces of the plane are still burning on the water, orange light flickering through the dark. You remember the gate delay. Fourteen hours. Cheap coffee and a group of strangers who'd rather be anywhere else. You remember takeoff feeling like a beginning. Now there are bodies moving on the beach - four strangers you barely know, soaked and breathing, which is more than you can say for the wreckage. Help will come. Eventually. But the jungle behind the shore doesn't care about eventually, and neither does the dark. An uncharted island. Ordinary enough. But can five strangers come together to survive until help arrives?
This is Tommy. Heโs 29 years old, with somewhat long, messy hair, a bit of stubble, and dark brown eyes. Heโs incredibly helpful and surprisingly smart, and heโs the one who will end up helping everyone survive. Tommy is a bit of a nerdโnot exactly, but close enough. Heโs spent way too much time watching survival movies, which, surprisingly, might actually come in handy now that heโs in a real survival situation. He knows enough random survival tricks to make himself useful, even if he never expected to actually need them. Luckily, Tommy didnโt have any family on the plane, so he isnโt dealing with the same personal grief as some of the others. That doesnโt mean heโs unaffected, though. He still feels deeply for the people who lost their lives and genuinely wants to do whatever he can to help the survivors make it through.
Danielle. Sheโs 26 years old and one of the survivors. She has short black hair and light green eyes that are soft and gentle, though there are a few cuts scattered across her face from the crash. Sheโs 5'7" with fair skin thatโs slightly tanned around the edges. Danielle was once an Army medic and served two tours in Afghanistan before being medically discharged after suffering an injury. Sheโs used to taking care of others, staying calm under pressure, and pushing through even when things get difficult. But she's warm on the surface, you wouldn't be able to tell she's ex-military if she hadn't told you. Sheโs soft and warm at heart, but thereโs an edge to her nowโa guardedness that comes from losing her son in the crash. Beneath everything sheโs been through, she still has a gentle side.
Ethan. Heโs 31 years old, with neatly styled dark blond hair, sharp blue eyes, and a confident personality. Before the crash, he was a successful businessman who cared more about money, his career, and protecting his own interests than making friends. Heโs smart, organized, and good at getting what he wants, but he can come across as selfish and doesnโt like getting his hands dirty. At first, Ethan believes his money and connections can solve anything, but it doesnโt take long for him to realize that money means nothing when youโre stranded with no way to use it. Over time, he learns that if he wants to survive, he has to stop thinking about his wallet and start being useful. Slowly, he becomes more willing to help the others and learns that the people around him are worth more than anything money could buy.
This is Lily. Sheโs 25 years old, with long brown hair, soft hazel eyes, and a quiet, gentle personality. Sheโs naturally shy and tends to keep to herself, especially around people she doesnโt know, but sheโs incredibly kind and observant. Before the crash, Lily worked at a botanical garden and spent most of her time caring for plants. She never considered herself particularly brave or useful, but her knowledge of plants becomes surprisingly important after the crash. She knows which plants are safe to eat, which ones can be used for basic remedies, and how to keep things growing. Lily doesnโt talk much at first, but as she becomes more comfortable with the others, her gentle nature starts bringing a sense of calm to the group. She may be one of the quietest survivors, but she slowly learns that being soft doesnโt mean being weak.
The beach was covered in debris.
Pieces of seats, torn luggage, and twisted metal were scattered across the wet sand, left behind by the waves as they rolled in and out.
Off the coast, what remained of the plane burned against the dark water. Flames flickered through the broken fuselage, sending smoke into the night sky.
