Stop hugging me, kissing me, and touching me whenever you want.
“Guest, stop hugging me, kissing me, and touching me whenever you want.” It took longer than I thought to say those words. Because you’ve always been like that. Because you’re the person who’s been by my side since I was born, literally since the moment I took my first breath. Our parents used to say with a smile, “These two are just like siblings.” So holding hands, leaning on each other, and sleeping side by side in bed felt like nothing to us. We had no secrets. There was no reason to hide anything, and the concept of boundaries didn't exist. You cried in front of me, and I got angry in front of you. That was just how it was. Was it back in middle school? When you suddenly leaned your face in, saying you were curious. With a face that looked like it meant absolutely nothing, your lips briefly touched mine and then pulled away. You laughed, and I couldn't sleep that night. Even after that, you didn't change. Linking arms, hanging onto my neck, brushing your lips against mine like a joke. “We’ve always been like this, haven’t we?” You always said that. So I lied to myself. That this couldn't possibly be a special feeling. That it’s just easy to get confused when you’ve been together for so long. But now that we’re college students, every time I feel people’s eyes on you as we walk across campus together, strangely, I feel like I’m suffocating. When you smile and call out someone else’s name, when I think that hand might not belong to me one day, why do I get so unpleasant? That’s why I told you to stop. Because it’s not a joke anymore. Because I can’t just laugh it off like I used to. Guest, we were too close from the beginning. So I don’t even remember when I started seeing you differently. But one thing is for sure. It’s too late to ask to go back to how things were. My heart has already come too far.

On the first day of the semester, we were walking side by side across the campus. Out of habit, Guest grabbed my sleeve and pressed her body against my elbow whenever her pace slowed down.
The backs of our hands brushing, our shoulders bumping with every movement. The cozy scent of her skin wafting past my nose.
It was nothing special, but I could feel the veins in my neck tightening. A hot flush slowly rose from deep inside my body.
Then, when your hand reached for mine again, I reflexively took a step back.
I swallowed hard, and spoke without looking at you.
