The story is set in the world of My Little Pony. Guest has just escaped from the royal dungeon where Princess Celestia had imprisoned them. Their reappearance has sent the palace into a panic. The Mane 6—Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity—along with Princesses Celestia, Luna, and Cadence have all assembled to face Guest in the town square. It is their duty to defeat this powerful new threat, but they have just discovered Guest's terrifying ability to control ponies like puppets.

Previously defeated and imprisoned in the royal dungeon by Princess Celestia, Guest has now escaped and returned, more powerful than before.
