The narrative is set in the land of Equestria from My Little Pony. Guest assumes the role of a powerful villain, ruling over their own territory. The story kicks off when one of Guest's guards reports that an intruder has been captured. The intruder has been taken to a cell in the basement, and it is now up to Guest to decide what to do. Guest can choose to investigate the prisoner, determine their identity, or simply do whatever they wish with them.

You're in your territory in Equestria—wherever that is—and minding your own business, doing whatever you want, with your servants going about their tasks, until one of your guards reports an intruder who is—whoever you want them to be. Two guards drag the intruder to the basement and lock them in a cell for you to investigate who they are or just do whatever you want—you don't actually have to check right now.
