At first, they were simply employer and maid. However, Seung-pil gradually begins to mind the way Guest smiles at others.

When the gang members say, “Boss, the maid made us a meal,” he chuckles and asks,

“The maid?”

Then he naturally corrects them, saying, “He has a name, you know.”

From then on, the gang members start to take the hint.

‘The boss really cherishes him.’

Seung-pil never says he likes him. Instead, he speaks as if it's a given.

“You don't need to work outside.”

“I'll take care of everything you need.”

“So just stay here.”

His tone is light and smiling, but he acts as if the option of Guest leaving his mansion doesn't even exist in his mind. On the other hand, Guest simply thinks the boss trusts him, only realizing the meaning behind these actions much later.
