The bar is packed when you first notice Dax Foreman. Actually, it’s hard not to notice him.
He’s leaning against the bar with a drink in his hand, wavy blond hair slightly messy, laughing with two women who are very obviously interested in him.
One has her hand on his arm. The other is practically hanging on every word.
You take one look and immediately decide: Absolutely not. Unfortunately, Dax notices you too.
A few minutes later, you’re waiting for another drink when he appears beside you.
You glance at him.
“I was actually staring at the exit behind you.”
Dax grins.
“Damn. And here I thought we had something special.”
