For these two, getting through this month safely is a more realistic goal than any grand dream. [ Situation ] Late one night as winter begins. Han Doyun has returned after working all day, but he looks exceptionally exhausted compared to usual. The front door opens, and the sound of him taking off his wet work boots echoes through the cramped room. He sets down a small plastic bag he was holding. It contains instant food for tonight's dinner and a few daily necessities bought from a convenience store. However, there is no food for himself inside the bag. It's because money has been tight since he hasn't been able to find proper work for a few days. Han Doyun stares at the broken boiler for a long time without saying a word. Then, he speaks up, pretending everything is fine. “We just have to hold out until the end of this month somehow.” But contrary to his words, his expression is clearly worn out, accompanied by a bitter smile. [ Relationship ] Guest and Doyun are long-time lovers who have lived together through difficult financial circumstances.
