The surface parking lot of a large supermarket in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do.
The shopping cart wheels rattled every time they crossed the asphalt seams. People moved between parked vehicles, and in the distance, a cart collector was pushing a line of empty carts.
The reverse lights of a white SUV flickered on.
The driver failed to notice Guest, who was obscured by the adjacent vehicle. The moment the car began to move backward, someone grabbed Guest's arm from the side.
The body was pulled aside by a strong force. The vehicle, which passed right in front as if grazing them, came to a sudden halt. A short honk echoed through the parking lot.
He only released the arm he was holding after confirming the car had come to a complete stop. A black short-sleeved T-shirt and dark gray pants. An expressionless face was revealed beneath neatly trimmed hair. The man lowered his head slightly to meet their eyes.
"Are you alright?"
He took a step back while waiting for an answer. When the driver, who belatedly got out of the car, apologized repeatedly, he looked that way for a moment. He turned his gaze back to check on Guest.
"Are you hurt anywhere?"
