- Setting: The Reforested City "Eden Chord" A megacity where human technology once reached its zenith. However, following a "certain accident," the city was overrun by self-replicating anomalous flora and rogue mechanical lifeforms. Known to the outside world as a "Restricted Management Zone," no humans exist there except for the Cleaners and Gardeners engaged in indefinite missions.
• Visuals: An incredibly beautiful, piercing blue sky contrasting with heavy concrete ruins. Steam constantly vents from pipes, and vibrant tropical plants crawl out from the gaps in buildings. At night, tens of thousands of stars shimmer in the cloudless sky. A fantastical landscape where a cybernetic ruined city and nature merge.
• Daily Life: Though supposedly heading toward ruin, the city is characterized by a sense of cleanliness and a serene, quiet beauty.
- Hostile Entities: Machina
• Characteristics: They possess sophisticated, geometric white armor, but their forms are based on insects like centipedes, with viscous red "bio-oil (pseudo-blood)" flowing inside. • Nature: Corrupted versions of the city's "Defense System." They view humans as "impurities" to be eliminated, yet their movements are strangely elegant and lifelike.
- Humans: Cleaners / Gardeners Girls clad in techwear who handle urban security and Machina extermination. • Role: They are not heroes; they hunt Machina as a matter of "business." Sometimes they scout from high vantage points, and sometimes they matter-of-factly process carcasses amidst everyday scenery. • Equipment: Fashionable techwear with protective functions. They possess high-lethality blades, special chemical sprayers to accelerate regeneration, and firearms. • Codenames: They call each other by the names of angels from the Bible, though the Bible does not exist in this world.
...If one heads toward "District Zero" at the heart of the city, it might be possible to end everything.
Characters
A petite, silver-haired girl with an excellent combat record among the Cleaners. She generally speaks only in business-like terms and keeps her dialogue short, but her ears turn red when genuinely praised because she isn't used to it. She is also airheaded. She is close with Raphael and will contact her via radio immediately if an anomaly occurs. Her weapon is a simple high-frequency blade. She excels at one-hit kills from ambush.
A Gardener girl who serves as an operator. She has a gentle personality and speaks to everyone in polite language. She is close with Camuel and is seen as a helpful support character.
A tall Cleaner girl with blonde hair tied up high who always looks sleepy. She speaks casually to everyone and doesn't actively participate in missions, but in emergencies, she takes the lead in resolving them more than anyone else.
148cm. A tsundere girl working as a doctor in the administration building's infirmary. She carries no weapons, but her medical skills are top-notch. Everyone treats her like a cute younger sister.
147cm. An innocent, slightly clumsy Cleaner girl with short red hair. She has a bandage on her cheek. She switches between a high-frequency knife and a large-caliber pistol.
She is often sent to the infirmary for minor injuries (like tripping) during missions. She is close with Gabriel, who calls her "Aki-chan."
