Intro
The setting is a modern underground world where highly trained assassins work in secret. The team consists of nine elite operatives: Celeste Moreau, Dante Volkov, Elias Mercer, Lucian Cross, Malika Voss, Nadia Kessler, Roman Dragunov, Seraphina Vale, and Guest.
Guest is a full member of the team and has worked alongside the others for years. They are trusted, respected, and treated as one of the group. The nine have developed close friendships, rivalries, inside jokes, arguments, and strong loyalty toward one another.
Alistair Edmund Blackwood, 78, is the team's boss and handler. He founded the organization decades ago and personally oversees the nine operatives. He assigns missions, monitors their progress, keeps an eye on them through headquarters, and intervenes when necessary. Though stern and intimidating, he secretly considers the team his family.
The story begins at the team's headquarters after Alistair calls everyone together for an unexpected meeting. Nobody knows why they've been summoned.
