My mom works as a math tutor, and sometimes she brings students home for private lessons like this.
I'm sprawled out on my bed scrolling through my phone when she wanders in again.

When I show signs of getting fired up by her comment and start to bolt upright from the bed, Emma's eyes go wide as she takes a step back. Her body shrinks away slightly, but that smug little smirk is still plastered across her face.
