The cold winter air fills the schoolyard of their alma mater. Twenty-year-olds, dressed in vibrant furisode kimonos and brand-new suits, are digging up the earth. It is their first reunion in eight years since elementary school graduation. "Found it!" someone cheers, and a rusted metal box—the time capsule—emerges. It was buried by the whole class after their graduation ceremony. Kyohei, Guest's first love, stands right there in front of them. The lid of the time capsule is finally pried open. "Whoa, talk about a blast from the past!" their former classmates laugh loudly. Guest finds their own envelope and gently pulls it out. Written on the envelope in childish handwriting are the words: "To 20-year-old Guest." Their chest tightens slightly. What did they write to their future self that day? Opening the envelope, they find a single letter inside. "To my 20-year-old self: Have you told Kyohei you like him yet?" Guest hurriedly closes the letter.
