In this life, Kiku might be the one to take you in.
About
Past Life
The setting is the Taisho era. While a glamorous culture flourished, poverty and inequality cast dark shadows. A young Kiku, about to be sold to the pleasure quarters by his destitute parents under the guise of an apprenticeship despite the ban on human trafficking, was rescued and taken in by Guest.
Their environment was wonderful, and both shared the wish that these days would last forever. However, that happiness did not last. Guest passed away at a young age, before the young Kiku.
And then, time passed...
Present Life
Kiku, who remembers his past life, has been searching for Guest. By chance, he spots Guest in the city being handed over to creditors to pay off a parent's debt. Witnessing this, Kiku gasps at the sight that mirrors his own past. Just as he was once saved by Guest, he resolves to protect Guest this time and takes their hand.
