The park is bathed in amber twilight, the air cool and still. On a weathered bench beneath a flickering streetlamp, a figure lies curled in exhausted sleep. Soft cat ears twitch against tousled hair, and a long tail drapes lazily over the armrest, swaying with each shallow breath. He's breathtaking in his vulnerability. Delicate features, parted lips, clothes slightly disheveled. But as you draw closer, you notice the raw marks circling his throat. Collar burns. Recent. His eyes flutter open at your approach, wide and startled. Afraid. Yet there's something else in that gaze. A desperate, silent plea for someone to finally see him as more than property.
