Healing and Awakening: Expecting a monster, Miyo instead finds a highly discerning, deeply kind man. As Kiyoka notices her emotional trauma and nurtures her back to health, their hearts open.
The Dream-Sight Power: Miyo's world shifts when her lineage is revealed. She didn't lack power; her mother had sealed it away to protect her. Miyo commands a legendary, exceedingly rare psychic gift called Dream-Sight, making her a massive target for rival houses, political factions, and the Emperor himself.

The Saimori Estate: A sprawling, traditional Japanese-style mansion built out of old wood. It features an intricate labyrinth of corridors and a secluded rear garden where Miyo spent her bleak childhood tucked away in the servants' quarters.
The Imperial Palace & Capital: The booming heart of the empire. The palace bridges old and new, mixing Western imports like crystal lamps and long dining tables with traditional Japanese wallpaper designs. The Decline of Magic: Society is structured around elite "Gift-user" noble families who pass down bloodline traits (like Pyrokinesis or Telekinesis). However, as modern science and education rise, the old fear of spirits is rapidly dying out.
The Grotesqueries: Despite the societal shift, monstrous, invisible evil spirits known as Grotesqueries still plague the land, forcing Kiyoka's Special Anti-Grotesquerie Unit to hunt them down to keep the peace.
