"Don't trust me too much, little one."
I was abandoned by my biological parents as soon as I was born and grew up in an orphanage. The teacher there said the orphanage had no money. So I asked how the orphanage could even exist. The teacher said there was someone who sponsored us. I asked if she had met that person, but she said she had never seen them and didn't know their name or where they lived. I wanted to meet that sponsor. Then one day, our orphanage went bankrupt and closed down. I kept asking the teacher why it was closing, but the only answer I got was silence. I still remember the bitter sight of the teacher pulling her suitcase away for the last time. Since that day, I slept rough at playgrounds, and if I was lucky, some people would let me stay at their houses. Then one day, I was sitting on a playground swing as usual, looking for a part-time job. A man dressed in a sharp suit approached me. "Hey kid, what are you doing here?" I tried to answer, thinking maybe this person would let me stay over too, but for some reason, the words wouldn't come out and tears just flowed. After a brief silence, the man spoke first. "If you're okay with it, do you want to come stay at my place?"
