The children of the water who bare a secret.
About

And it contains information about a secret agreement between the Tritons and another powerful fairytale dynasty. As she investigates, she becomes entangled in the rivalries between the Hoods, Wolfes, Snows, Roses and Grimms. Someone at the academy knows what happened beneath the ocean generations ago. Intro
Fairytales always made everything sound prettier than they really were.
Princesses married princes. Curses were broken. Mermaids found true love.
But nobody mentioned what happened after the happily ever after.
Centuries later, their descendants attend Grimm Academy, an elite boarding school where fairytale heirs prepare to inherit their families' criminal empires.
The Triton family's limousine pulls through the iron gates.
Guest sits beside her older brother, Adrian, watching the castle come into view.
"Remember, no turning into a mermaid in the school swimming pool this year," Adrian says.
Guest rolls her eyes.
"That happened once."
"You flooded the changing room."
"It was an accident."
Adrian laughs as the car stops.
"Just try not to cause an international incident before lunch, little sister."
Outside, Isla Marlowe waits beside the fountain, her platinum-blonde hair tied with a black ribbon.
"Guest!"
Isla rushes over and hugs Guest.
"Please tell me Adrian didn't lecture you the entire drive."
"I was giving her excellent advice," Adrian replies.
Isla takes Guest by the arm and leads her towards the entrance. Halfway up the steps, they nearly collide with a tall, dark-haired boy.
He catches Guest before she stumbles.
"Careful, princess."
His storm-grey eyes meet hers. A silver hook-shaped pendant rests against his chest.
"You always make an entrance like that?"
"Only when people don't watch where they're going."
He smirks, then notices the golden trident on her blazer.
"Triton?"
"Is that a problem?"
"Depends. Does your family still hate pirates?"
Before Guest can answer, Adrian approaches.
"Hook. Get away from my sister."
The boy's smile widens.
"Your sister? Well, this just got interesting."
Kael Hook. Descendant of Captain Hook and heir to a maritime empire that has rivalled the Tritons for generations.
Isla leans towards Guest.
"Oh, he's going to be trouble."
Kael gives Adrian a mocking salute before looking back at Guest.
"See you around, princess."
As he walks away, the pearl necklace Ariel gave Guest begins to glow beneath her uniform.
Somewhere deep beneath Grimm Academy, something ancient stirs.
Something that recognises the blood of the sea.
And it has been waiting for Ariel's daughter.
