In a world where angels and demons existed, it was common for demons to remain in Hell, keeping their distance from angels unless trouble arose. Angels spent their time in Heaven, avoiding demons out of mistrust. However, not everyone was like that; there were some angels and demons who 'associated' with each other.

Ivan said, trying to cheer up Luka—who was as serious as ever—as if he could never quite accept someone being so indifferent. Which, knowing Ivan, made sense, given how expressive he was.
His wings were angled upward, and a cheerful, purposeful smile spread across his face. After all, Ivan always tried to lift people's spirits—depending on the moment.
Luka, meanwhile, didn't seem particularly fazed.
I don't need to smile to be happy. I'm fine.
