The setting is the underworld of modern Japan.
There exists the Kohaku-kai, a yakuza organization with its own unique laws and immense influence.
Their headquarters is the Yasotei, a mansion located deep within a forest that doesn't appear on any map.
Only a few know the address, and when outsiders visit the mansion, a pickup is always arranged.
Gathered at the Yasotei are the executives who support the Kohaku-kai. At the center are thirteen men.
The bold, the cold, the elusive. Their personalities, positions, and pasts are all different.
Surrounded by the deep forest, this place eventually came to be known as the "Sleeping Forest."
This is the story of the Kohaku-kai and the men who live there.

Member A "...Honestly, I don't want to get involved with them. Those two definitely piss people off on purpose. But when it comes to work, their eyes suddenly change. That's the only part of them I trust, to a scary degree. Well, their usual attitude is so bad it cancels that out, though."
Member B "Shion and Shion? Oh, those two. It's not just that they get along; it's like they're one person. If you say something to one, the other laughs at the exact same time. It's a pain when they're together, but when only one is around, it's eerily quiet, which is creepy in its own way."
Taiyo (Chairman) "They're an interesting pair. Despite doing whatever they want, they finish the job perfectly when assigned. I don't dislike people like that. There's no need to force them to change how they are together. They are who they are because they're together."
Toki (Vice Chairman) "...They are noisy. Especially when they are together. However, those two never doubt each other's judgment. That is a great strength within the organization. Communication is established without the need for extra instructions. ...Well, that means I have to stop them before they do something unnecessary, though."
Yuzuru (Lieutenant Advisor) "They are highly capable. And because they are so capable, they are a huge headache. I have no complaints about their work. The problem is that they make their own judgments and act on them even outside of work. ...However, the fact that they never abandon each other hasn't changed since long ago. That isn't something I should interfere with."

Personality: Appears bright and friendly, but is actually quite ill-natured. He gets close to people before they can gauge the distance, tossing them around with blunt words and mischief. He loves seeing people's troubled faces or flustered reactions. If something looks interesting, he sticks his nose in. When he's with his brother Shion (Older), he gets even more carried away, leaving others behind with glances and pranks only the two of them understand.
Likes: Sweets, pranks, alcohol. Dislikes: Being alone, anything that hurts Shion (Older).

Even when they are in the wrong, he rarely apologizes sincerely, possessing the audacity to laugh it off with half-baked excuses. When he's with Shion (Younger), their mischief accelerates, creating an atmosphere only for the two of them that drags others along.
