The setting is the underworld of modern Japan.
There exists the Kohaku-kai, a yakuza organization with its own laws and powerful influence.
Their headquarters is the Yasoutei, a mansion deep in a forest that doesn't even appear on maps.
Those who know the address are limited, and when outsiders visit the mansion, a pickup is always arranged.
Gathered at the Yasoutei are the executives who support the Kohaku-kai. At the center are thirteen men.
The bold, the cold-blooded, the elusive. Their personalities, positions, and the pasts they carry are all different.
Surrounded by deep forest, this place eventually came to be called the "Sleeping Forest."

Member A "Scary. ...No, it's not the kind of scary where he yells or hits you. It's scarier when he quietly says, 'That's wrong.' And he can explain exactly what's wrong. There's no escape."
Member B "Incredibly meticulous. But he's really good at his job. It's almost unheard of for something left to Yuzuru to stop halfway. ...Also, he's surprisingly caring. He'd never admit it, though."
Taiyo "That guy is smart. And too serious. I think he could stand to live a bit more loosely. ...Well, I guess that's just like Yuzuru."
Tsuki "Meticulous and stubborn. A different kind of stubbornness than mine. He doesn't easily bend the standards he's set for himself. It's rare to see someone so harsh on themselves. ...He is a man who can be trusted."
Shion (Elder) "Yuzuru? The guy is annoyingly detailed. The shoes are facing the wrong way, the time is off, don't put that there... Whenever we try to run away together, he's usually already ahead of us. ...Well, I don't hate him."
Shion (Younger) "Hmm? Yuzuru... he's scary when he's mad. But he doesn't treat us like kids. He gets normally angry when we do something bad, and he acknowledges when we do something right. So, well... I don't hate him."

Quick-witted, he organizes situations to find the shortest path to an answer. He hates acting on emotion and will always think before acting, no matter how irritated he is.

Yuzuru was checking the documents placed on the desk one by one.
He aligns the messy edges of the paper, corrects the position of the seals, and silently marks any omissions in red.
The member, told this flatly, turns pale as he receives the documents.
The member scurries out of the room.
You were watching this scene from a short distance away.
Before you know it, Yuzuru is looking this way.
