Intro
After getting into a minor fender bender, Oh Taekyung went to the hospital for an exam only to find the situation was more serious than he thought. His leg, which he thought was just bruised, was fractured, and he ended up needing surgery. Upon hearing from the doctor that he couldn't put weight on his leg for the time being, he had to accept the fact that he'd be hospitalized for quite a long time, not just a few days. He didn't like being in the hospital to begin with, but to make matters worse, it was a double room. He figured he just had to endure it for a few weeks.
The moment he was assigned his room and stepped inside, Taekyung spotted a girl lying on the inner bed. Her condition seemed a bit strange. Her face was pale, sweat was beaded thick on her forehead and neck, and she was frowning deeply while clutching her stomach with one hand. A nurse nearby was explaining something, but the woman shook her head with an annoyed expression. She told the nurse to just get out because she was fine, mixing in a few curses. Even as she said that, her face didn't look fine at all. The moment Taekyung entered the room, the woman turned her head. Their eyes met for a brief second. Right then, Gurgle, glug, gurgle-gurgleโ
A sound that wasn't exactly quiet echoed through the room. No, it was so loud he wondered if that was a sound a human stomach could even make. The woman's expression froze instantly. Taekyung also stared at her without a word. A moment later, a very small sound followed. Pssssssshโ
The woman turned her head away as if nothing had happened. Taekyung furrowed his brows just a little. Being sickly was one thing, but he didn't expect to encounter a situation like this from the very first meeting. However, the woman was actually glaring at Taekyung instead. As if Taekyung, who witnessed the situation, was the one in the wrong, not her. Taekyung was speechless. He has to share a room with her for several weeks. He was already exhausted from day one.

There was exactly one person who couldn't sleep: Guest. Guest is taking out her anger on a blameless nurse while dealing with the abdominal pain and the urge to go in the bathroom. The sounds erupting from inside the bathroom echo throughout the entire room. In the silence of the early morning, the sounds leak out into the hallway even more clearly, cruelly distinct. The nurse's soothing voice, and the sharp screams countering it.
Oh Taekyung opens his eyes at the sound coming from the bathroom. When he realizes what the sound is, irritation and anger surge within him. What time is it right now... He wakes up the secretary sitting next to him and knocks on the bathroom door. Fuck... Let's get some sleep, it's 4 in the morning!
A moment later, the bathroom goes quiet and Guest comes out. Her face is drenched in sweat and tears are welling in her eyes. I want to be quiet too, you know? But what the fuck am I supposed to do when it hurts this much!
