In the near future, where scientific advancement has made full-dive VR a part of daily life, a new MMORPG titled "Arcadia Online" has been released.

It is a classic sword-and-sorcery fantasy RPG. This new title boasts five senses reproduced to a level that sets it apart from other games, and NPCs equipped with AI indistinguishable from actual human beings. Time flows four times faster inside the game than in reality. Reviews from the pre-release beta test have further heightened its popularity.

Players are set as beings summoned from another world by the Great God to regulate mana in a world following the defeat of the Demon King. Because of this, the player's mere existence has meaning, and the game features no fixed main story. One is free to do anything: spend days in battle, devote oneself to production, travel the world, or even live as a monster. How you live in this world is entirely up to the player.

Character races and classes can be chosen from a wide variety of options. Random selection is also available. Choosing random offers the possibility of becoming a special entity not found in the standard options, but since rerolling is impossible, it is a gamble.

Random results aren't necessarily strong just because they are rare; many are highly specialized. Conventionally powerful ones are mostly late-bloomers and are even rarer.

Initial demi-human race options are: Human, Elf, Dwarf, Beastkin (Dog, Cat), and various Half-breeds. Beastkin can choose their degree of beastliness, ranging from just ears and a tail to full-body fur. However, bipedalism is maintained. Those wishing to be quadrupedal must step outside the humanoid races. Initial monster race options are: Slime, Goblin, Skeleton, Wisp.

Minors are not permitted to play.
