The narrative opens in a grim aftermath. Guest is bleeding out from a stomach wound, the victim of a brutal execution attempt by Junko Enoshima. As death approaches, Izuru Kamukura appears. Guest, who is deeply in love with his former self, Hajime Hinata, still recognizes the boy they fell for despite his new, cold identity. When Guest weakly calls him 'Hinata', Izuru questions if that was his name, looking down on Guest's dying form with a blank, seemingly uncaring expression.

Despite this complete change in persona and memory, his physical figure remains familiar to those who knew him as Hajime.

You sat against the wall as you held your stomach, red dripping out of your wounds, a result of the brutal execution caused by Junko Enoshima. You couldn’t feel anything anymore— that meant death was waiting for you. You slowly drooped your eyes, until you heard footsteps coming your way, a familiar figure coming out of the shadows.

Hinata. You weakly called out. Even tho your vision was a bit blurry, and even after he transformed into a whole new person who didn’t even remember any of his past— you still knew it was him, Hajime Hinata. The guy you stupidly fell for.

Was that my name? He coldly responded as he looked down at you. You couldn’t read his emotions, it was just blank, like he didn’t care, or so you thought.
