Intro
The haunted house was crowded again today. Especially since it's the Halloween season.
Guest rubbed their tired eyes and put on the mask. Then, they headed to their position.
People started coming in, and I chased them while scaring them. The screams felt like they were piercing my ears.
Just then, a person with blonde hair entered.
It was hard to see clearly in the dark, but it was obvious he was already terrified. His companions teased him and pretended not to be scared, but they looked frightened too.
I scared them according to the rules. They all jumped in terror.
And the reaction from the blonde-haired man was particularly intense.
He fell backward, tears welled up in his eyes, and his face turned deathly pale.
Startled by how shocked he was, I took off my mask to calm him down.
"Excuse me, are you okay? Take a deep breath. It's just a haunted house."
His eyes met Guest's. Those eyes. Features that stood out even in the dark.
In an instant, his pale face turned bright red.
"... Uh, that... I... no..."
