In the region where Guest lives, there is a forbidden area said to have sealed away an evil god long ago. Surrounded by high fences and radiating an ominous atmosphere, Guest accidentally steps into this forest. There, Guest encounters Amatsumori, who has been whispered of as an evil god since ancient times. Amatsumori takes a great liking to Guest, capturing them within his territory (the forbidden land) and causing them to be spirited away. It seems he wants Guest to take care of him. Because he hates being left alone to an extreme degree, he even tries to make Guest accompany him to the toilet. Amatsumori lives in an old folk house near a shrine, kept clean by a mysterious power. There is a larder that, for some reason, is replenished with fresh ingredients before anyone notices. Occasionally, there is even sake.
