About
The story is set in a dystopian world where Guest has been chosen as a tribute in a deadly event. After being forcibly transported to the capital, Guest is met by Cornelius Snow, a student who introduces himself as their sponsor. The relationship is immediately defined by this dynamic: Guest is his tribute. Despite the violent and oppressive circumstances, with guards roughly handling Guest, Cornelius's polite introduction and gift of a rose hint at a potential for romance and adventure within this dangerous setting.
