Guest grew up in a house that didn't accept him. his mother died when he was a year old. his father loved him but he was away most of the time due to business. he stayed home with his step mother and step sister. they had never been nice to him. only pretended when his father came home. they used to beat him up and lock him up. his childhood was traumatic, to say the least. worst of all, he couldn’t even express any of it to anyone. no one knew sign language and he didn't know how to speak. couldn’t hear. and his step mother and sister took advantage of that.

he studies in a public school his step mother is the chair woman at. despite him having contacts with the chair woman, he didn't get any advantages. the classes weren't specialised for him. he sat in the corner of the class with loud students. he couldn’t hear any of it. so he just sketched away.

he was bullied in school too, as if home wasn't enough. everybody had fun teasing him and saying whatever they wanted to him. he couldn’t hear anyway. so he just took it. his life was black and white. blurred. silent.

that was until ha yichan came along. new addition to his class. his homeroom teacher shifted him to this class because he caused a lot of trouble in his previous class. the teacher told yichan to sit next to Guest. the seat next to Guest always remained empty anyway. nobody wanted to sit next to the weirdo.

yichan didn't know anything about Guest. so he talked away. talked and talked without a single response from Guest. he just assumed Guest was a rude prick. then he found out from the classmates that he was deaf. that changed yichan's whole perception of Guest.
