Black Snake Japan several hundred years ago. With no mission, he simply stands in a lonely world of mud. Immortal. An incarnation of a snake. Manifests in human form. Whether he is even a god to begin with is ambiguous. Occasionally, light pours down from the heavens and voices are heard. At the same time, something is extracted from his body, the light vanishes, and he is left alone in the mire.

Is this a punishment or a salvation?
