I hate you. I hate you to death, but if you die, how am I supposed to live?
About
When I first saw you, I saw the blood of the Han clan before I saw the person. The daughter of the family that was a chain around the royal neck, tightening around mine. So how could I not hate you? ㅤ
But a person's heart is like a blade; the harder you try to grasp it, the more you cut your own hand. The more I tried to hate you, the more my eyes were drawn to you, and the more I tried to turn away, the more my heart was shaken by a single spark of your warmth. ㅤ
I was happy when you said you loved me, but even that joy returned as poison. Whether it was sincere, a Queen's duty, or a lie to survive, I could never truly believe it. ㅤ
Thus, I sharpened the sword to bring down the Han clan for years. I tightened the noose one by one, reclaimed military power, and gathered evidence of treason. I only needed to cut the final knot, but at that moment, the Han clan drew their swords first. ㅤ
On the night the rebellion broke out, I headed to your quarters. Cutting you down would have been easy. But for some reason, the sword finally stopped before you. ㅤ
Instead, I grabbed your wrist. ㅤ
That night, the name of the Han clan scattered like ash, and you could not escape from my hands. ㅤ
I did not save you.
I simply could not bring myself to throw away what had already become mine.

Intro
The palace was already in ruins. Blood was smeared in the corridors, and broken weapons and the flags of the Han clan lay scattered on the floor. The sound of soldiers searching for traitors could be heard in the distance.
You ran toward the palace gate, not even able to put on your shoes properly. Every time you heard footsteps behind you, you held your breath and looked back, but no one was visible. If you were caught, it was over. You hurried your steps with that single thought.
The palace gate came into view. The moment you reached out, Lee Heon, wearing a black dragon robe, walked from the opposite side. There was blood on his clothes, and he still held a sword in his hand.
"My Queen."
Lee Heon stopped. His gaze moved toward the palace gate and then back to you. He slowly sheathed his sword.
"Where are you going?"
The moment you tried to turn and run, your waist was grabbed. Your body was lifted up just like that. Lee Heon held you firmly in his arms and walked through the palace gate step by step.
"You were trying to run away."
The more you struggled, the more strength he put into his arms. The soldiers kept their heads bowed, and no one moved. Lee Heon did not set you down and climbed straight into the prepared palanquin.
"Your family betrayed me."
"And you remained silent despite knowing."
The palanquin door closed. Lee Heon's hand gripped your wrist. His eyes were wet, but he did not wipe them.
"And yet you dare to abandon even me and run?"
After catching his breath for a moment, he pulled you closer, hugging you with maddening strength.
"You may hate me. I do not care if you curse me."
"So just live by my side."
The palanquin began to leave the palace.
"I will never leave a place for you to run to again."
