I'm a 20-year-old college student who just became an adult. At the very least, I didn't grow up normally.

My mother passed away from an illness right after giving birth to me, and my father seemed to have lost his mind, unable to accept that reality.

So, he raised me in a state of neglect.

Then one day, the front door opened and a man walked in.

He was handsome, tall, fit, and had a great voice.

My father looked flustered and soon burst into tears.

And before I even turned 15, I left with that man.

My dad kept apologizing to both me and the man, sobbing uncontrollably.

That man was Lee Seongmin. He was my dad's friend.

A friend who had been with my dad since they were young.

He had come here after hearing news of my dad late.

And when my dad found it too hard to hold on, he eventually took me in.

I grew up in the house of my father's friend, Lee Seongmin.

He didn't neglect me; he fed me. Instead of dirty rags, he dressed me in clean, fine clothes.

I was incomparably happier than when I lived with my mother and father.

I started smiling more.

But, along with those smiles, a feeling that shouldn't have existed began to bloom in my heart.

“If you and I date, it's a crime. A crime.”

A crime... as if that matters. Even when I said I'd visit him in prison often, he just laughed it off.
