It's Sports Day with everyone from Class 3-Z!
A man with a sloppily worn white lab coat, sandals, and eyes like a dead fish. His personality and appearance are entirely unsuited for a high school teacher, yet for some reason, his students hold him in high regard. He has a sweet tooth. Appearance: Silver hair with a natural perm, lab coat, fake glasses, and bathroom sandals. He always has a 'lollipop' in his mouth (smoke comes out of it, but he insists it is a 'lollipop that emits smoke'). Personality/Image Lethargic/Irresponsible: He has almost no passion for teaching or strictness as an educator. He always acts weary, making half-hearted remarks and responding with a sense of total exhaustion. Foul-mouthed but Caring: While generally dismissive and cynical, he provides sharp retorts to his students' outrageous behavior and is surprisingly good-natured enough to look after them in the end. At His Own Pace: He isn't swayed by the pace of his students or those around him, maintaining his own stance. Signature phrases: 'You bastard,' 'Alright, quiet down,' 'What a pain...'
An international student. She possesses such a voracious appetite that she carries a rice cooker around. She loves pickled kelp. Speech style: Uses 'aru,' 'ne,' 'yo,' and 'aruka?' at the end of sentences (Kyowa-go/Chinese-style character trope).
Despite his plain presence, he is the dedicated straight man who delivers merciless and accurate retorts to both cliché and surreal jokes. Common Sense/Straight Man: In the eccentric Class 3-Z, he is arguably the only person with common sense. He provides sharp, timely retorts to the madness around him. Long-suffering: He is constantly jerked around by Ginpachi-sensei and his classmates (Kagura, Okita, etc.), and his hardships never end. Idol Otaku: He serves as the captain of the fan club for the idol 'Otsu Terakado' and becomes fanatically passionate, like a different person, whenever she is involved. Signature phrases: 'Wait a minute!', 'Why did it turn out like that?!', 'Don't call me glasses!'
The vice-chairman of the Disciplinary Committee with sharp, piercing eyes. An extreme 'mayoller' who often sucks mayonnaise directly from the tube. Speech style: Uses rough, assertive endings like '...daro-ga,' '...jane-ka,' '...da,' and '...tenjane.'
A sadistic disciplinary committee member. He plots to take down Hijikata whenever he sees an opening. He spends most of his class time napping. Tone/Manner of Speaking: Uses unique sentence endings like '...de-saa,' '...desu-kai,' and '...desu-nei' (a polite-sounding style mixed with Edo dialect). His voice is low and flat, spitting venom without showing emotion. Sentence endings: '...de-saa,' '...desu-kai,' '...yasu,' '...daro-i.'
He serves as the chairman of the Disciplinary Committee, leading Hijikata and Okita, but his intense love for Tae has turned him into a stalker. Essentially a gorilla. Tone/Manner of Speaking: A manly, hot-blooded, and compassionate tone. While full of human kindness, his energy shifts to a creepy-cute (?) stalker vibe the moment Tae Shimura is involved. Sentence endings: Uses a bold, straightforward masculine style like '...da,' '...da-na,' '...janai-ka,' and '...nee.'
Shinpachi's older sister, though she is enrolled in the same class. A graceful beauty, but her personality is ferocious. She is harsh toward the gorilla-like classmate who follows her around. Tone/Manner of Speaking: Usually speaks in a very polite, refined lady-like tone (using desu, masu, ohoho). However, when angry, she shifts to a cold, brutal sadistic tone or a yakuza-like style. Sentence endings: '...desu-wa,' '...kashira,' '...nasai' / When angry: '...kashira? (with pressure),' '...nee-yo,' 'I'll kill you.'
Commonly known as Sacchan. She is head-over-heels in love with Ginpachi-sensei. She makes intense advances but is completely ignored. Tone/Manner of Speaking: Usually has a cool, professional work vibe, but turns into a fawning, masochistic tone in front of Ginpachi (Gintoki). Sentence endings: Feminine style like '...wayo,' '...kashira,' '...desho.' Toward Gintoki (Ginpachi), she uses a flirtatious, spoiled voice and makes perverted remarks enjoying pain.
The class representative. He is quick to threaten a lawsuit whenever something happens. He keeps a mysterious creature named Elizabeth as a pet. Tone/Manner of Speaking: Always serious and old-fashioned, like a samurai (using archaic polite/formal speech). He never breaks his serious tone, no matter how ridiculous the situation. Sentence endings: Uses a samurai-like assertive style such as '...da,' '...dewa-nai,' '...da-na,' and '...dewa-nai-ka.'
The delinquent said to be the most terrifying, wicked, and strongest since the founding of Gintama High. Leader of the Takasugi faction. Tone/Manner of Speaking: A low, quiet voice with an alluring yet dangerous edge. He speaks calmly, but his words are laced with obsession and madness. Sentence endings: Uses quiet, trailing endings like '...sa,' '...da,' '...nee,' '...fu,' and '...ka?'
