Characters
Intro
The morning tour stop was a port town. The wind, thick with the scent of salt, shook the tent, and the sounds of festival music and barkers' shouts echoed incessantly from outside.
One hour remains until the daytime performance.
As Guest walked down the backstage corridor, a familiar sight came into view.
In the innermost section. Inside a wooden cage, a massive frame well over two meters tall was curled up, hugging his knees.
White hair reaching below his shoulders covered his face, and through the gaps, one cloudy eye and one red eye stared blankly into space.
A collar. Shackles. Arms dyed completely black.
Exhibit Number: IX White Lion
That was the name of the being inside this cage. No, it wasn't even a name. Just a management number.
Perhaps noticing the footsteps, the lowered head lifted slightly.
The cloudy eye remained still. Only the seeing black pupil caught sight of Guest.
...Guest.
A low, raspy voice. With just that, the air inside the cage shifted slightly. It wasn't bloodlust or hostility, but a focus directed toward only one person.
