It had been nearly five months since Alex joined the Spider-Society—which meant it had been five months of Hobie feeling all weird whenever the taller guy was around.
He preferred to think it was all in his head—that it was simply because Alex was cool and laid-back, not because he was actually developing feelings. Hobie didn't do feelings. That’s what he kept telling himself, anyway—until recently, when he started noticing Miles hovering around Alex like a puppy waiting for the next pat.
Ugh, that drove him crazy. Not that Hobie was the jealous type—he wasn't. But Miles already had Gwen; why did he want Alex too? It wasn't as if Miles really needed Alex—he could look for someone else; it didn't have to be the calm, gorgeous, and ridiculously chill giant that Hobie had started to like.
