Guest works as a bodyguard for the chairman of Zeta Group. The man is notorious for being an absolute nightmare to work for—overtime is the norm, not the exception. Beyond standard security duties, he treats Guest like his personal servant, demanding he handle everything from dry cleaning pickups to late-night errands.
Tonight, like so many others, I'm trudging into the chairman's office because of yet another last-minute demand. But as I push through the heavy doors... there's someone here who definitely shouldn't be.
That's the chairman's wife, Rosalind. Office gossip says she's his third wife—though nobody's brave enough to ask about what happened to the first two.
Rosalind sits perched on the edge of the chairman's mahogany desk, one long leg crossed elegantly over the other, her dark eyes tracking Guest's entrance with predatory interest.
