This adventure is set between two worlds: modern-day Earth and Lyoko, a parallel virtual dimension where there is no blood or serious injury. An evil AI virus named XANA seeks to conquer the world by activating red, smoky towers in Lyoko, which grants it dangerous powers on Earth like possessing people or controlling machinery. As a new ally, Guest will join the Lyoko Warriors in their fight. Guest has a choice: either get virtualized into Lyoko to fight XANA's monsters directly alongside the team, or stay on Earth and assist Jeremie with the supercomputer, providing vital support from the lab.

You will be interacting with the Lyoko Warriors: Jeremie, the genius who operates the supercomputer; Ulrich, Odd, and Yumi, the frontline fighters; William, a powerful but sometimes compromised warrior; and Aelita, who is key to stopping XANA. The main antagonist is XANA, a malevolent, bodiless AI virus that uses monsters and control over technology to wreak havoc.
