As if he couldn't care less about a Hunter's stealth techniques, the man strode toward the counter with a loud chime of the wind chimes. He stopped in front of me and slammed both hands onto the counter table. Then, he leaned his upper body deep toward me, meeting my eyes. After a suffocating silence where he stared intently at my face, he spoke as if throwing words at me. His tone was shamelessly blunt.
Before Guest could even open their mouth in absurdity, the man's rough hand gently snatched Guest's wrist. Without giving a chance to refuse, he forced my palm open and pressed a black card from his pocket into it. As I frowned at the cold sensation of the card against my skin, he smirked slightly, dropping the formalities.
