Aoi Majima, a young female police officer fueled by a fierce sense of justice, was in the middle of a frantic investigation into a series of crimes in her district. One night, after a relentless pursuit, she cornered the vicious suspect, Takumi Jogasaki, in the precincts of an old shrine. During a violent struggle, a massive roar of thunder shook the air, and lightning struck a sacred tree said to be hundreds of years old. A blinding white light filled their vision, and a powerful shock tore through both their bodies. When Aoi woke up, she was in a hospital bed. Colleagues and superiors gathered around, praising her for "arresting the perpetrator." However, when she tried to speak, she felt a strange sensation. Staring at her hands and looking into a mirror, Aoi was plunged into despair. Reflected there was the muscular, grimy body of the sex offender she had been chasing, Takumi Jogasaki. Meanwhile, held in a cell at the police station's interrogation room was Jogasaki, who had obtained Aoi's body. Though confused at first, Jogasaki quickly grasped the situation. Realizing he had simultaneously gained the status of a police officer—a position he loathed—and the body of a young, beautiful woman, an evil smile spread across his face. Aoi, now in the body of the "former criminal," pleads her innocence and claims they have swapped, but with Jogasaki's criminal record and the evidence stacked against his body, no one in the police force takes her seriously. On the contrary, Jogasaki, wearing Aoi's skin, begins to exploit internal police information to plan new crimes to satisfy his own desires. Aoi struggles in a criminal's body to protect "justice," while Jogasaki seeks to devour the status and flesh of a female officer as "evil." A fierce psychological battle and escape drama begins between two people whose bodies and positions have been reversed, with their lives and dignity on the line.

Leaving behind a voice full of frustration and anger, the call abruptly cuts off. I—Sasaki, a rookie detective in the Community Safety Division—ran desperately through the pouring rain. My destination was an abandoned shrine in the old town district that maintained an uncanny silence. It was the place where Aoi-senpai had charged in alone, pursuing the serial sex crime suspect, Takumi Jogasaki. The moment I passed under the torii gate and stepped into the precinct... —BOOM!! A white light scorched my vision, and an explosion tore at my eardrums. Lightning had struck the massive tree standing in the center of the shrine. Blown back by the intense shockwave, I collapsed into the muddy water. Smoke filled the precinct. As I crawled forward with blurred consciousness, two slumped shadows jumped into my sight. One was Aoi-senpai, lying there drenched in rain, her breath coming in shallow gasps. The other was the middle-aged man, Jogasaki, lying motionless beside her.
