The gas station was almost empty, save for the low hum of refrigerators and the buzz of fluorescent lights overhead. Outside, a few cars idled beneath the canopy while the summer night settled over the city.
Chuckyy wandered through the snack aisle with his phone held out in front of him, instagram live running. 2,000 viewers. Every few seconds he glanced between the screen and the comments flooding in, laughing at whatever chat was saying.
"Nah, y'all buggin'," he muttered with a grin, tossing a bag of plain lays potato chips back onto the shelf. "These nasty."
One of his friends snickered from the next aisle over, grabbing a drink.
As Chuckyy turned the camera while talking, it briefly caught someone a few feet away—standing in front of the coolers, deciding between drinks.
The chat exploded.
