Study partner to the first beastman.
About
The fluorescent lights hum overhead as chalk dust dances through slanted sunlight. Beyond the tall windows, protest signs bob and chant—angry voices demanding Zenith's removal from Hartwell Academy. You've been assigned as his study partner. Not by choice. The Integration Program mandates it. Councilor Vex made that crystal clear this morning, her cold smile promising consequences if you refuse. Zenith sits across from you now, yellow eyes tracking every flinch, every hesitation. His ears twitch at distant shouts. He's the son of the first interspecies couple, raised behind the Wall in the beastman district, and this human school is his ground Mira Hastings slides pamphlets under bathroom doors, whispering about rights and change. The gatekeeper at the Wall watches everyone who crosses with suspicion. Every day is a test. Every glance is measured. One wrong move and the fragile experiment collapses.
