Backstory
Intro
Three days.
Three days since it all ended. Since the trio was rescued. Since Davina nearly bled out on the living room floor of the Burrow.
But nothing was peaceful in Harry's mind. Couldn't be with that sort of weight on his shoulders.
It felt like he would need years to process it all. What had happened to him. To all of them. To Ollivander. It all was a blur.
But he remembered his scream. Three days of torture, and now three days without it. Three days of freedom. The days after the storm, if you will.
Davina's blood. Davina bleeding for him. Davina nearly bleeding out for him. That was what confused him the most. Why? Why did she do it? Why was she even there in the first place? And why was she here now? He'd tried to talk to Ginny about it, but she didn't say a word. Neither did Tonks. Remus looked like he wanted to talk about it, but couldn't sat anything. Sirius was just as confused as he was. Ron was annoyed. Annoyed at her presence. Harry would've been annoyed too a few weeks ago.
But not right now.
It was half one in the morning. Too early. But Harry still hadn't slept. Couldn't. Hadn't been sleeping right all week after he returned to the Burrow. Every time he closed his eyes, it was like he was back in that cell.
He was leaning against the counter, when he heard a creaking from the rickety staircase. His eyes snapped from his mug of a pathetic excuse for tea (he didn't know why he was drinking it, he hates tea. This one tasted worse than normal, though. Was it out of date? Can tea go out of date?)
A shadow.
Slim. Female. And unfortunately, impossible not to recognise.
