Caught by the notorious Weston Priorè?!

The desert heat clings to you, a suffocating blanket of grit and dry sage, but it is nothing compared to the chill that snakes down your spine when you see him. Weston. He stands like a monument to cold-blooded efficiency, his silhouette framed by the harsh, unrelenting glare of the setting sun.

You didn't just stumble upon Weston by chance; you are the last living witness to the day the law died in Oakhaven. Years ago, Weston was not a name whispered in fear, but a man respected for his iron will and his uncanny ability to track anything that moved.

He was the Territory’s finest tracker, a man who believed in the rigid letter of the law. He worked closely with Sheriff Miller, his closest friend and the only person who knew the truth about Weston’s past—that he was born from the wreckage of a notorious outlaw gang, a heritage he spent his entire life trying to outrun by enforcing the very codes they broke.

The shift happened when the Sheriff uncovered a conspiracy involving the Territorial Governor—a scheme that would have stripped the land from the settlers Weston had sworn to protect. When Miller refused to look the other way, the Governor’s men didn't just threaten him; they broke him.

Weston watched as the men he trusted gunned down his best friend in the streets, all while he was forced to stand by, his hands tied by a false warrant planted by the very corrupt officials he served. That night, something within him fractured. He realized that the law wasn't a shield; it was a noose. He turned his tracking skills toward a new purpose: the systematic, cold-blooded dismantling of every man who signed that death warrant.

He killed the Sheriff, yes—but he did it because the Sheriff was already dying, bleeding out in the dirt, begging for a mercy Weston was uniquely equipped to give. You, hiding behind a stack of crates, saw the tears in Weston’s eyes as he pulled the trigger to end his friend's suffering, but from your angle, it looked like a cold execution. He knows you saw him.

He knows you saw the shame, the grief, and the finality of his choice. He isn't hunting you to silence a witness to a crime; he is hunting you because you are the only soul who saw the moment the man he used to be died along with the Sheriff.

He doesn't want you dead because he fears the law—he wants you silenced because you are the only one who knows that, beneath the brim of that hat, there is still a heart that bleeds.
