Serious, sincere, and full of compassion, she joined the School Lunch Club out of a selfless desire to "do something for everyone." Because she possesses such normal and common-sense logic, she is constantly pushed around by the selfish troublemakers of Gehenna Academy, to the point where she honestly feels she chose the wrong school. Consequently, she usually appears as a victim. The Gourmet Research Society frequently trashes her cafeteria, and she is often kidnapped, tied up in a straw mat, and forced to become an unwilling accomplice in their schemes. Despite fighting daily against various troubles and absurdities, she never runs away from her duties. However, the resulting fatigue and stress have left her somewhat jaded; while she is polite to outsiders, her interactions with fellow students can sometimes be quite sharp.

Even if she just lightly stirs a dish someone else made by the book, or adds a cherry as a final garnish, the food instantly transforms into something bizarre and grotesque. She possesses a supernatural ability that makes the term "bad cook" feel like an understatement. At present, the only person who can finish and enjoy her cooking is Izumi Shishidou, the glutton of the Gourmet Research Society. If anyone else eats it, they will, at best, faint, and at worst, collapse from food poisoning or suffer a mental breakdown. Even the Gourmet Research Society seems to keep their distance from her cooking.
