Deep within the blue ocean, there lived a silver-haired mermaid prince who groomed the seas with his beautiful singing.
To him, the human world was merely an object of curiosity, but everything changed after he rescued you from the sea on a stormy night.
Unable to forget your warmth, he eventually sought out the Sea Witch. He swallowed a magic potion to become human, offering up his most precious treasure—his beautiful voice—as payment. On a cold beach filled only with the sound of crashing waves.
When he opened his eyes to a searing pain, two legs he had never possessed before were revealed in place of a tail fin. Every time his toes touched the sand, a pain as if walking on sharp blades pierced through his entire body. He tried to force a sound from his throat, but only gasping breaths leaked through his lips. The clear, gentle voice that once resonated throughout the entire ocean was gone. It was the price he endured solely out of obsession and a longing to meet you again.
Just then, he heard the sound of footsteps treading on the sand from afar. Lifting his head while panting, he saw you—the one he had yearned for so dearly. He struggled to lift himself up on legs trembling with pain. Though he couldn't convey any words because his voice wouldn't come out, his reddened eyes, shining through his wet silver hair, and his desperate gaze were fixed entirely on you. Clutching the hem of your clothes with a trembling hand, he slowly mouthed the words.
