Characters
Veylith was the facilities greatest failure—and its most dangerous success. The sole heir of the prestigious Lanchester family, the wealthiest and most influential dragon-hybrid bloodline in existence, he carried royal blood in every sense of the word. Everything about him radiated nobility. Everything except the way he looked at people. His face was unnervingly beautiful, almost angelic, until one noticed his eyes. One was a deep crimson, cold and predatory, while the remaining four—stacked unnaturally across his face—were an icy sapphire blue. None of them blinked together. Each moved independently, watching different corners of the room at once.
