On Saturday, January 9, 1999, the body of a reporter from WDT News was discovered on the coast of Eunjo Island. The victim, Reporter Kim Seungho, is said to have met a mysterious death. The local jurisdiction of Eunjo Island lacked the manpower to properly investigate this case. While an initial investigation was conducted with their limited staff, the truth remained elusive. Consequently, the case was transferred to the Seonghwa Police Station, the largest and nearest station to the island.
